Annett Mottlau (dansk yogalærer) is a certified Iyengar yoga teacher from the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Institute in Amsterdam with a Junior Intermediate level I certification and the second generation of certified Iyengar yoga teachers. Her mother has been an active teacher for more than 30 years, and studied with B.K.S Iyengar in Pune. Annett was her student for several years benefiting from her great knowledge.
Her admiration for the Iyengar yoga technique and philosophy behind the teaching has always inspired her in her practice as well as her teaching. And due to her own back injuries in the past, her students are gaining great benefit from her knowledge to help them restoring balance in the body, the mind and ultimate in life through the yoga.
In 1995 Annett relocated from Copenhagen to Cascais, Portugal to continue her training and teaching in Cascais and Lisbon. Annett graduated the teacher training programs at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Amsterdam with Clé Sourne, Charles Hond and Annemieke Van Kootne and as teachers she studied with Geeta S. Iyengar and Prashant S. Iyengar at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India.
And in October 2015 she finished a 3 year studie of Therapeutic Iyengar yoga program with Stephanie Quirk in Copenhagen.
Over the years Annett continues in developing her own practice participating in workshops around Europe with Clé Souren, Patricia Walden, Delilah King, Christian Pisano, Lois Steinberg and Billy Konrad.
